Our Studio
Studio Nadeau was founded by Ellen Nadeau as a pottery teaching facility, to encourage artists and novices to come and have fun, and enjoy learning about clay and glazes. We also offer a studio membership program for independent artists that value the community aspect and can thrive in a setting with more equipment than they may be able to have at home.
Classes are offered Monday through Saturday for 2 hours at a time in six week sessions that continue year around. Open studios are offered free of charge to adults taking classes and are included with class tuition. You must be registered in a class to take advantage of the Open Studio Hours. Class sizes are small, with plenty of individual attention. Every class includes demonstrations and new techniques and processes for beginning through advanced levels.
Located in the Broadmoor area and convenient to the surrounding hills and neighborhoods. There is plenty of parking right at the building. Good lighting, and nice bathrooms make this a very comfortable environment. There are nice sitting areas outside the building, and in the lobby. We currently offers 8 potters wheels (Shimpo Lite - new) and Handbuilding table areas. There is a complete glazing room with a good selection of glazes. There is a separate Kiln area with 3 electric kilns. Plenty of shelf space for individuals and communal shelf space for sending your work through the firing process.
For those interested in special events, just give us a call.
