About Studio Nadeau
Studio Nadeau is the production and teaching facility of Ellen Nadeau. Clay classes are offered in handbuilding, wheel throwing, functional and sculptural forms. Beginning, intermediate, advanced and children's classes are available. I want to encourage artists and novices to come and have fun, and enjoy learning about clay and glazes.
Have you always wanted to try making cups and bowls on the wheel? Are you an intermediate level and would like to improve on your ideas and techniques? Do you have children that would enjoy learning to sculpt and create with clay? We hope to have something for all of you in our class offerings. For advanced potters with their own materials and equipment, we can offer you space and studio memberships.
At the same time, you will see my creative process and techniques for my own work.

“I have always enjoyed the interplay of landscapes and the human figure in my work. Writers like John McPhee and Annie Dillard are kindred spirits in how I see the natural world. My expression of the figure descends from Bodhisattvas, the Greek Korai and Matisse. These new forms are more at ease than my earlier work and seem to dance with one another.” ~ Ellen Nadeau
